Sr. Director, Operations Equipment Role

The Sr. Director, Operations Equipment leads the Tim Hortons Operations Equipment team in managing innovation and restaurant equipment renovation. This role involves cross-functional work, focusing on restaurant-level process and equipment solutions that reduce complexity and enhance franchisee profitability.

This position interacts with various internal and external stakeholders, including restaurant team members, multi-unit managers, restaurant owners, equipment manufacturers, and internal teams such as operations, training, marketing, and supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize back-of-house processes to improve efficiencies, broaden offerings, minimize maintenance, and extend equipment lifespan. Digitize restaurant processes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with vendors on Request for Proposal (RFP) processes.
  • Oversee product and project management for large-scale projects.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience in equipment or operations within the food service industry, preferably QSR experience.
  • Prior experience managing and planning large-scale projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Project-related travel (0-25%), primarily within continental US & Canada, with occasional international travel.
  • Ability to work from the Toronto, Ontario office on a hybrid basis.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
