Job Summary

The Salvation Army in Canada is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Rehabilitation Services Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support services to adult male offenders who are conditionally released to the community.

About the Role

As a Rehabilitation Services Coordinator, you will work closely with clients to establish trust and provide guidance on their journey towards rehabilitation. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Communicating effectively with clients to ensure they understand their conditions of release and facility guidelines.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation for client files.
  • Monitoring client behavior and security within the facility using security cameras.
  • Conducting regular bed checks and wellness checks to ensure client safety.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of one year's experience working with adults in the criminal justice system in an institutional or residential setting.
  • A valid certification in First Aid & CPR and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows, with the ability to learn new software systems quickly.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position based on 37.5 hours per week. The work schedule may vary according to requirements of responsibility, but shifts typically include:

  • Sunday-Thursday: 23:00-07:00am
  • No travel required.
Compensation

We offer a competitive salary of $20.01 per hour, reflecting the value we place on your skills and experience.
