Job Title: Director, Community Engagement

About the Role:

Mackenzie Health Foundation is seeking a seasoned fundraising professional to lead our Community Giving portfolio. As Director, Community Engagement, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive business and marketing strategies to drive revenue growth and community support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the annual plan, budget, and key performance indicators to meet revenue targets for Community Giving.
  • Lead the development of community-based fundraising activities and partnerships, including signature events, third-party events, and in-memory gifts.
  • Establish and lead a high-performing team, providing leadership and guidance for direct reports.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership team to establish strategies and plans that are aligned across fundraising streams and with overall goals.
  • Act as an Ambassador for Mackenzie Health Foundation in the community, attending events and activities, and speaking on behalf of the Foundation.

Requirements:

  • Proven history of developing fundraising plans and strategies and meeting targets.
  • Fundraising experience across multiple revenue streams, including events, corporate sponsorships, and mid-level giving strategies.
  • Experience leading the development and execution of community-based fundraising activities and partnerships.
  • Demonstrated experience building, mentoring, coaching, and fostering innovation within high-performing teams.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and a history of building trusting relationships with donors.
