About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at Arterra Wines Canada, Inc. in Niagara Falls. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for supervising, developing, and leading all activities related to bottle shop and sanitation operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and plan daily production requirements, ensuring efficient labor allocation, product changeovers, and component supply.
- Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and develop plans to maintain production continuity.
- Develop and train operations staff on new safety programs and procedures.
- Complete administrative tasks, including payroll, FCR, DOR, vacation schedules, and email communication, to ensure seamless knowledge transfer and data management.
- Supervise Kronos operations and manage employee hiring, training, and development.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on target KPIs such as line startup, line change, right-first-time production, and production KPIs like line speed, downtime, and overtime.
- Maintain a 5S mentality and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure adherence to HACCP and ISO procedures, with attention to detail and accurate documentation.
- Participate in meetings, including daily production meetings, weekly operations meetings, and monthly union employee meetings.
- Ensure a safe and healthy production environment, with a focus on employee well-being and risk analysis.
Requirements:
- College graduate with 3-5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing principles and practices, including time study and constraint analysis.
- Computer literacy, with proficiency in Excel, JDE, Kronos, and other relevant software.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills, with agility to work under tight deadlines.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with a mechanical aptitude.
