Job Title: ECE Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced ECE Assistant to join our team. As an ECE Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our child care centre and contributing to the development of our children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in Housekeeping and Cooking Duties: Assist co-workers in maintaining a clean and organized environment, and assist in preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children.
  • Develop and Implement Child-Care Programs: Collaborate with early childhood educators to develop and implement programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Maintain Daycare Equipment: Ensure that all daycare equipment is in good working condition and maintain a safe and healthy environment for the children.
  • Storytelling and Activities: Engage children in activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts to promote their creativity and development.
  • Record Keeping: Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping accurate records of children's progress and development.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with parents and staff to ensure that children receive the best possible care and education.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a child care setting.
  • Certifications: Emergency child care first aid and CPR, Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, and a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and education to children.
