Job Title: Early Childhood Educator Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team. As an Early Childhood Educator Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our child care centre and contributing to the development of our children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
  • Assist in maintaining daycare equipment and ensuring a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Communicate with parents through written observations and progress reports.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
Requirements:
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate or equivalent.
  • Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
