Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Transportation Coordinator to join our team at Trimac Transportation. As a key member of our dispatch team, you will be responsible for communicating the load plan to drivers and customers, ensuring that all customer requirements are met, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate the load plan to drivers and customers
  • Ensure drivers have the proper instructions to perform duties safely
  • Listen to driver concerns and act on them appropriately
  • Ensure the company meets all customer requirements
  • Maintain accurate records in the dispatch system
  • Work closely with the load planners to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
  • Ensure trailer interior washes are completed where required
  • Record orders and trip events in the TMW system
  • Audit TMW reports for compliance requirements
  • Service failure reports are recorded in TMW and brought to the attention of the Branch Manager or designate
  • Ensure drivers and equipment meet regulatory and corporate compliance
  • Assign the proper equipment for the jurisdiction and job requirements
Requirements
  • 2-5 years of related experience
  • Experience using a variety of systems
  • Excellent communication skills in a team environment
  • General knowledge of the transportation industry
  • TMW experience is an asset
  • Post-secondary education in transportation is an asset
  • High school diploma is required
