Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Title Officer to join our team. As a Title Officer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients, ensuring accurate and timely processing of title searches, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of corporate and lender policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide superior customer service to clients, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conduct thorough title searches, identifying and resolving discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with Underwriting Guidelines.
  • Manage relationships with lenders, mortgage specialists, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless transaction processing.
  • Prepare and issue Commitment to Insure (CTI) documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to corporate policies and guidelines.
  • Stay up-to-date on corporate and lender policies and procedures, applying knowledge to ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions.
  • Prepare and review documents, including mortgage document packages and title change documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with lender program requirements.
  • Request and review payout statements, calculating penalties, per diems, and payout amounts due on closing.
  • Action Lender Reports as required.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a law clerk/legal admin program or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience with the end-to-end real estate transaction cycle.
  • Exceptional phone manner, strong communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to problem-solve and prioritize issues, with strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong understanding of basic mathematical principles.
  • Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in protecting confidential information.
  • Intermediate computer skills in MS Office and Outlook.
  • Flexibility to work a regular rotating late shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
