General Manager Position

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our organization and drive its growth. This is a challenging role that requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills.

Job Summary:

The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company, managing budgets, supervising staff, and developing strategies for growth and development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in arts administration, experience with budgeting and financial management, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

About the Role:

  • Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year

  • Job Description:
  1. Manage the overall direction and strategy of the organization
  2. Develop and implement budgets and financial plans
  3. Supervise and manage staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance
  4. Foster partnerships and collaborations with other organizations and stakeholders
  5. Oversee marketing and communications efforts to promote the organization's work

Requirements:

  • University degree in arts administration or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in arts administration, preferably in a similar role
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think strategically and make sound decisions
  • Familiarity with Vancouver and Canadian performing arts communities
