Circulation Network Director

About the Role:
- As our ideal candidate, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire Blue Box supply chain, ensuring seamless collaboration between internal stakeholders and external partners.
- You will work closely with key stakeholders, including the Common Collection System Operator/Administrator and post-collection service providers, to guarantee contractual performance requirements and objectives are met.
- Your expertise will be crucial in developing and implementing strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Blue Box value chain, while meeting all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet with CCS and post-collection partners/service providers, as well as internal teams, to ensure compliance with contract terms, track and resolve issues, and oversee reporting and target management.
- Oversee day-to-day management of CCS and post-collection service provider agreements and statements of work, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
- Develop and implement supply chain KPIs, reports, and business processes to continuously improve current practices and identify opportunities for growth.
- Establish procedures for measuring material sorting efficiency and material quality, and oversee resulting action items to optimize the Blue Box value chain.
- Ensure the Blue Box supply chain operates efficiently, effectively, and meets all regulatory requirements from collection to final disposition.
- Plan and execute an annual calendar of contract activities, guaranteeing adherence to contract terms and conditions both internally and externally.
- Review and approve vendor payments, ensuring compliance with supply chain contracts and executing payment processes according to established guidelines.
- Collaborate with internal and external materials marketing agents to ensure chain of custody of outbound commodities to approved end markets.
- Oversight of Program Analyst responsibilities, including mentoring, coaching, and performance management.
- IDentify opportunities, implement, or participate in studies and pilot projects to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of materials processing and availability of end markets.
About You:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in waste management and recycling, specifically in Blue Box recyclable materials processing.
- Proven track record in performance monitoring, operational improvement, and contract administration.
- University/College degree in business administration, operations, environmental management, or equivalent.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including SharePoint, Teams, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and negotiation skills, with experience working with various stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication, as well as presentation skills to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
- Ability to analyze programs, identify weaknesses, and support improvements.
- Project management/time management skills to manage multiple timelines and priorities effectively.
