Job Title: Part Time Case Worker Night

The Salvation Army is seeking a Part Time Case Worker Night to join our team at the Brantford Booth Centre. As a Case Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who are experiencing homelessness and working towards a more stable future.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain an active caseload and provide support to clients in achieving their goals.
  • Conduct intakes and assessments to identify client needs and develop individualized plans.
  • Provide problem-solving and referral counseling to clients, connecting them with community resources and services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and other Salvation Army departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of programs and services.
  • Assist front desk personnel as needed, responding to client issues and crises.
  • Record activities and incidents in a factual and concise manner using log books and incident occurrence reports.
  • Collaborate with emergency service personnel as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to The Salvation Army's policies and procedures.
Working Conditions:

This is a permanent, part-time position with 16 hours per week. Flexibility in scheduling is required, and the work schedule will be determined in consultation with your supervisor.

Shifts include Friday and Saturday, 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with a 30-minute paid meal break.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • University or college diploma in Social Services or a related field.
  • Current First Aid, CPR, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certificates.
  • Alternative combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Experience and Knowledge:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of community-based resources and services.
Skills and Capabilities:
  • Competent in word processing software, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with effective interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with socially disadvantaged individuals and federal release clients.
  • Ability to establish and implement goals and plans for self and clients.
  • Ability to work independently and under supervision.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
  • Enhanced Reliability Screening with Corrections Canada is required.
  • Ability to undergo applicable screening and background checks successfully.
