Job Title: Part Time Caseworker

The Salvation Army is seeking a Part Time Caseworker to join our team at the Brantford Booth Centre. As a Part Time Caseworker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in need by providing case management services, connecting them with community resources, and advocating on their behalf.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain an active caseload and provide regular check-ins with clients.
  • Conduct intakes and assessments to identify client needs and develop personalized plans.
  • Provide problem-solving and referral counseling to clients, connecting them with local resources and services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and other Salvation Army departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of programs and services.
  • Collaborate with front desk staff to respond to client issues and crises.
  • Document client interactions and incidents in a thorough and accurate manner.
  • Work closely with supervisors to ensure alignment with program goals and objectives.
Working Conditions:

This is a permanent, part-time position with 15 hours per week. Flexibility in scheduling is required, and shifts may vary according to program needs.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • University or college diploma in Social Services or a related field.
  • Current First Aid, CPR, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certifications.
Experience and Knowledge:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of community-based resources and services.
Skills and Capabilities:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
