The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising seeks an accomplished Area Manager to spearhead business growth initiatives in Canada. This dynamic role demands strategic leadership, effective implementation, and a strong business acumen.
About the RoleIn this pivotal position, you will lead the development and execution of business group initiatives, fostering collaboration with Regional Business Group Directors, Regional Operations Directors, and Market Sector Directors. Your expertise will drive business strategies and initiatives in the regions, while actively participating in water industry associations and organizations.
You will also assist in identifying and prioritizing strategic hires, recruit top talent, and maintain a strong interface with Operations, ensuring alignment with company goals and values.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement business group initiatives for Canada, leveraging effective implementation strategies.
- Foster collaborative relationships with Regional Business Group Directors, Regional Operations Directors, and Market Sector Directors to drive business strategies and initiatives in the regions.
- Actively participate in water industry associations and organizations, representing the company's interests and enhancing its reputation.
- Assist in identifying and prioritizing strategic hires, ensuring the recruitment of top talent that aligns with the company's goals and values.
- Maintain a strong interface with Operations, guaranteeing seamless communication and collaboration.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a closely related field; Master's degree preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a related field, with a proven track record of leadership and strategic planning.
- Registered Engineer designation, demonstrating expertise in the field.
- Demonstrated experience in leading diverse teams, with a focus on collaboration and effective communication.
- Ability to work cooperatively with regional managers, technical directors, and client development teams.
- 15+ years of experience in a related field, with a proven history of success in business growth and leadership.
- Established relationships within major water organizations in Canada, leveraging these connections to drive business opportunities.
- Applicable registrations and association activities, showcasing expertise and commitment to the field.
- Strong operations and client development skills, with a focus on delivering results-driven solutions.
The estimated annual salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000, depending on experience and qualifications. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
