Executive General Manager Job Description

Location: Vancouver, Denver, Toronto, Sudbury

The Executive General Manager is a key leadership role responsible for driving revenue and profit growth in the territory. This role requires a dynamic, results-driven professional with a proven track record of managing technical and sales teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a business plan for the region
  • Lead the software sales function and engage with customers on larger transactions
  • Ensure quality implementation and support services are provided to minimize customer attrition
  • Manage back-office administrative processes to meet corporate deadlines
  • Collaborate with global product VPs to influence product roadmaps based on regional requirements and competitive intelligence
  • Recruit and retain a high-quality team of technical professionals to deliver support, implementation, and training services
  • Foster a culture that reflects the Datamine values of autonomy, accountability, collaboration, friendship, and respect
  • Monitor team and individual performance, providing career development, coaching, and interventions when necessary
  • Adopt and share Datamine and Vela best practices
Requirements:
  • Proven track record of delivering results in a professional and dynamic environment, including demonstrated success managing a P&L
  • Deep understanding of the mining industry and ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal abilities
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to travel as needed

Beneficial qualifications include postgraduate business qualifications, operations management experience in the mining industry, and multi-lingual skills.
