About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and personable Associate Investment Advisor to join our Private Wealth Practice. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our Senior Investment Advisor and Financial Planner to help manage client portfolios and develop new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and provide detailed financial strategies for members, including retirement, education, asset allocation, and risk management
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide a diverse and supportive financial partnership with individuals and families, increasing their financial well-being
  • Build a portfolio of clients by establishing relationships and business contacts, while being committed to supporting the Senior Investment Advisor
  • Generate reports and administer ongoing reporting and business development for the Senior Advisor's team
  • Work closely with Branch teams to explore and grow client/member solutions and opportunities
Requirements
  • Current accreditation and good standing in Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Conduct and Practice Handbook (CPH), or willingness to acquire these accreditations
  • Successful completion of Wealth Management Essentials and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation, or willingness to complete
  • Financial Services and/or Brokerage industry experience is required, though experience in a similar sector would be considered
  • Strong computer and software literacy, including all Windows applications and the ability to learn new platforms and software easily
  • Proven success working in a fast-paced, high growth environment
  • Client-centered and driven by the need to make a difference for people in a meaningful way through genuine conversations, active listening, and empathetic understanding
