We are seeking a highly motivated and personable Associate Investment Advisor to join our well-established Private Wealth Practice at Your Neighbourhood Credit Union.

About the Role

As an Associate Investment Advisor, you will work closely with our Senior Investment Advisor and Financial Planner to manage client portfolios and develop new business opportunities. You will be responsible for providing exceptional service to clients, assisting with portfolio management, and identifying new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement detailed financial strategies for clients, including retirement, education, asset allocation, and risk management
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide a diverse and supportive financial partnership with individuals and families
  • Build a portfolio of clients by establishing relationships and business contacts
  • Generate reports and administer ongoing reporting and business development for the Senior Advisor's team
  • Work closely with Branch teams to explore and grow client/member solutions and opportunities

Requirements
  • Current accreditation and good standing in Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Conduct and Practice Handbook (CPH), or willingness to acquire these accreditations
  • Successful completion of Wealth Management Essentials and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation or willingness to complete
  • Financial Services and/or Brokerage industry experience is required, though experience in a similar sector would be considered
  • Strong computer and software literacy, including all Windows applications and the ability to learn new platforms and software easily
  • Proven success working in a fast-paced, high growth environment
  • Client-centered and driven by the need to make a difference for people in a meaningful way through genuine conversations, active listening, and empathetic understanding
  • Must be bondable
