Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Executive Chef to join our team at Emoi Restaurant. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our culinary team, creating innovative and delicious menus, and ensuring exceptional quality and presentation of all dishes.

About the Role
  • Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year
  • Work Term: Permanent
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 5 years or more

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a high-volume restaurant environment, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales and inventory
  2. Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff
  3. Supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks and other kitchen workers
  4. Create new recipes
  5. Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food
  6. Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
  7. Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions
  8. Requisition food and kitchen supplies
  9. Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
  10. Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  11. Supervise activities of sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs and cooks
  12. Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
