We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated medical professional to join our team at Medicentres. As a family physician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and services to our community.
About the RoleThis is a temporary position that requires a minimum of 35 to 50 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have a degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry, with licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
Key Responsibilities- Consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health
- Prescribe and administer medications and treatments
- Advise patients on healthcare
- Report births, deaths, contagious diseases, and other matters to government authorities
- Act as a patient advocate
- Coordinate or manage primary patient care
- Provide acute care management
- Offer counseling and support to patients and their families on various health and lifestyle issues
The successful candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, accurate judgement, flexibility, reliability, values, and ethics. Experience is an asset.
