Long Haul Truck Driver - Transportation Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at Can Roots Carrier Inc. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes.

Responsibilities:
  • Transportation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Pre-Trip Inspections: Perform thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition, including checking tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload goods, taking care to secure cargo and prevent damage during transit.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as checking fuel levels, oil, and tire pressure, to optimize vehicle performance and reduce downtime.
  • Cargo Management: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
Requirements:
  • Licenses and Certifications: Hold a valid Class 1 or A Driver's License.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a truck driver, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to work independently.
Benefits:
  • Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
  • Work Hours: 35-40 hours per week.
