Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver - Over the Road

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at SOUTH LAKE TRANSPORT INC. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a safe and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from trucks, adhering to company policies and regulations.
  • Operate and Drive Trucks: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, following all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Documentation: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, as well as complete accident or incident reports and driver logbooks.

Requirements:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: Will train
  • Valid Driver's Licence: A valid driver's licence is required

Work Environment: This is a permanent position with a 40 to 50 hour work week. The work language is English, and the job involves duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes.
