Job Title: Glass Installation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Glass Installation Specialist to join our team at Tierdon Glass Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and repairing glass and aluminum products in commercial settings. This includes determining the type of glass and materials required, measuring and cutting glass, and assembling and installing prefabricated glass products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine type of glass, frames, and materials required
  • Measure, mark, and cut glass
  • Position and secure panes in frame
  • Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors, or glass products
  • Install door, window, and other hardware
  • Repair glass doors and other glass structures
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages
  • Work from man-lift mobile equipment, cranes, and other lifting equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
Requirements:
  • Working at heights training
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Basic security clearance
  • Criminal record check
  • Driver's validity license check
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced commercial environment, installing and repairing glass and aluminum products. This may involve working at heights, in cold or hot temperatures, and in physically demanding conditions.
