About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Glass Installation Specialist to join our team at Tierdon Glass Ltd. as a Glazier. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for installing glass and glazing systems in commercial and residential settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Repair: Install glass and glazing systems, including windows, doors, and skylights, in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  • Measurement and Cutting: Measure and cut glass to precise specifications, ensuring accurate fits and minimizing waste.
  • Assembly and Installation: Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors, and other glass products, including door and window hardware.
  • Work at Heights: Work safely at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages, using proper equipment and techniques.
  • Reading and Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation and repair.
Requirements
  • Education and Certifications: Possess a valid Working at Heights training certificate, First Aid Certificate, and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Experience and Skills: Have previous experience in glass installation and repair, with knowledge of glass types, materials, and fabrication techniques.
  • Physical Demands: Be physically fit and able to handle heavy loads, stand for extended periods, and perform bending, crouching, and kneeling tasks.
  • Tools and Equipment: Possess necessary tools and safety equipment, including steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, and gloves.
