Job Title: Glass Installation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Glass Installation Specialist to join our team at Tierdon Glass Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and repairing glass products, including windows, doors, and other glass structures. This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to work at heights, handle heavy loads, and stand for extended periods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine the type of glass, frames, and materials required for each installation
  • Measure, mark, and cut glass to ensure accurate fits
  • Position and secure panes in frames, and assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors, or glass products
  • Install door, window, and other hardware, and repair glass doors and other glass structures
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, and from man-lift mobile equipment, cranes, and other lifting equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installations
Requirements:
  • Working at heights training
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Basic security clearance
  • Criminal record check
  • Driver's validity licence check
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in glass installation and repair
  • Knowledge of glass fabrication and installation techniques
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
