Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil/Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at Barr Engineering Co. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil and geotechnical engineering, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in project engineering and design, as well as business development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage client relationships and lead projects through the entire lifecycle
  • Provide technical direction and guidance to the project team
  • Manage multidisciplinary teams and projects
  • Develop and implement business development strategies
  • Coach and mentor technical staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil, geotechnical, or mining engineering or a closely related discipline
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) certification in Saskatchewan or ability to obtain certification within one year
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully work in a project team environment
  • Demonstrated project organization and management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Work experience in western Canada
  • 15+ years of relevant work experience
  • Advanced degree in civil, geotechnical, or mining engineering or a closely related degree
  • Experience working in consulting engineering
