Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil/Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at Barr Engineering Co. in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading complex civil and geotechnical engineering projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage client relationships and lead projects through the entire lifecycle
  • Provide technical direction and guidance to project teams
  • Manage multidisciplinary teams and projects
  • Develop and implement business development strategies
  • Assist with client contract development and negotiations
  • Coach and mentor technical staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil, geotechnical, or mining engineering or a closely related discipline
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project engineering and design, business development, and project management
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) certification in Saskatchewan or ability to obtain certification within one year
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a project team environment and meet client deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Work experience in western Canada
  • 15+ years of relevant work experience
  • Advanced degree in civil, geotechnical, or mining engineering or a closely related degree
  • Experience working in consulting engineering and operating/managing for a consulting engineering company
