About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Systems Professional to join our team at J.L. Richards & Associates Limited. As a key member of our Energy Systems Engineering Discipline, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring multidisciplinary staff to create high-quality custom solutions for clients using innovative technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the growth of the Energy Systems Engineering team through external initiatives (business development and marketing) and internal initiatives (mentoring and peer review).
  • Act as energy engineering discipline lead as part of multidisciplinary projects including: zero-carbon building design and deep-energy building retrofit projects.
  • Lead and mentor junior energy engineering team in building energy modelling (using IESve software) and in building energy/carbon conservation measure design.
  • Perform peer review of building energy projects.
  • Represent J.L. Richards & Associates Limited and the Energy Systems Engineering Discipline in working with clients to guide, support, and develop project solutions that meet their—and our planet's—needs.
  • Develop improved and more efficient modelling and analysis methodologies for energy project deliverables.
  • Organize the workload of technicians and junior engineers to ensure that project deadlines are met and final deliverables align with client expectations.
