Role Summary:
The Technical Consultant will play a crucial role in the management of energy performance and environmental compliance. This position requires a strong background in production and distribution energy systems, particularly those utilizing natural gas and electricity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and track energy and greenhouse gas performance metrics.
- Analyze data from production equipment, including utility metering and energy consumption.
- Conduct audits to evaluate energy efficiency and provide actionable recommendations.
- Engage with clients and prepare detailed reports on findings.
- Implement strategies to ensure energy savings and performance monitoring.
- Support the design and commissioning phases of energy systems.
- Lead environmental compliance initiatives for existing and new projects.
- Prepare environmental reports for relevant authorities.
Qualifications:
- Eligibility to work in Canada;
- Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) or Senior Technologist in a relevant field;
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in energy systems;
- Experience in optimizing dispatch strategies for multi-source energy systems;
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and AutoCAD;
- Strong communication and technical presentation skills;
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues;
- Experience in building operations or controls is an asset.
