We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Energy Professional to join our Energy Systems Engineering team at J.L. Richards & Associates Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring junior energy engineers in building energy modeling and design, as well as performing peer review of building energy projects.
Key Responsibilities- Support the growth of the Energy Systems Engineering team through external initiatives (business development and marketing) and internal initiatives (mentoring and peer review).
- Act as energy engineering discipline lead on multidisciplinary projects, including zero-carbon building design and deep-energy building retrofit projects.
- Lead and mentor junior energy engineers in building energy modeling (using IESve software) and building energy/carbon conservation measure design.
- Perform peer review of building energy projects.
- Represent J.L. Richards & Associates Ltd. and the Energy Systems Engineering Discipline in working with clients to guide, support, and develop project solutions that meet their needs.
- Develop improved and more efficient modeling and analysis methodologies for energy project deliverables.
- Organize the workload of technicians and junior engineers to ensure that project deadlines are met and final deliverables align with client expectations.
