About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Energy Professional to join our Energy Systems Engineering Discipline in Ottawa, ON. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring junior energy engineers, performing peer review of building energy projects, and representing JLR in working with clients to guide and support project solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the growth of the Energy Systems Engineering team through external initiatives (business development and marketing) and internal initiatives (mentoring and peer review)
- Act as energy engineering discipline lead on multidisciplinary projects, including zero-carbon building design and deep-energy building retrofit projects
- Lead and mentor junior energy engineering team in building energy modelling (using IESve software) and building energy/carbon conservation measure design
- Perform peer review of building energy projects
- Represent JLR and the Energy Systems Engineering Discipline in working with clients to guide, support, and develop project solutions that meet their—and our planet's—needs
- Develop improved and more efficient modelling and analysis methodologies for energy project deliverables
- Organize the workload of technicians and junior engineers to ensure that project deadlines are met and final deliverables align with client expectations
