We are seeking an exceptional Geotechnical Business Development Representative to join our team. This role involves promoting AGAT Laboratories' diverse portfolio of services, focusing on expanding our Geotechnical Materials Testing services in Ontario and Eastern Canada.

The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of sales efficiently and effectively, contributing significantly to our 'Service Beyond Analysis' initiative. This encompasses total customer service management of a defined client portfolio, driving incremental sales to existing customers while increasing overall revenue.

This opportunity is also integral to creating and executing business plans that meet or exceed budget expectations. The successful candidate will support the development of these plans and ensure their effective implementation.

Responsibilities:
  • Solicit new business opportunities for AGAT Laboratories and identify potential sales growth initiatives to enhance our market position.
  • Maintain strong relationships with current clients and foster long-term partnerships.
  • Develop and implement targeted sales and marketing strategies tailored to specific accounts or categories.
  • Build and manage business relationships with assigned accounts to generate new revenue streams aligned with our objectives and values.
  • Elevate the customer-centric approach of AGAT Laboratories and promote its benefits to establish lasting business connections.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve annual business and territory targets, aligning with our budgeted sales goals.
  • Analyze category and business data to identify sales opportunities and improve our position within the market.
  • Pursue professional development through industry workshops, associations, and tradeshow attendance.
  • Monitor competitive market activity, gather insights, and capitalize on emerging business opportunities in existing and new locations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in science, such as chemistry, geology, or engineering, or in business (preferably Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental or Geological Engineering, Marketing, or Business).
  • Experience in outside sales, ideally with 3+ years in B2B sales; experience in Civil Engineering, Construction, Materials, Mining Sites, Environmental, or Tailings would be a significant asset.
  • Professional, positive, and outgoing demeanor with exceptional relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with fluency in French being an added advantage.
  • Able to deliver clear, concise sales presentations.
  • Strong analytical, planning, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in standard office Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage competing demands.
  • Unquestionable work ethic and capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Travel throughout the GTA is required, with occasional travel outside the province possible.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must provide and utilize a reliable personal vehicle for business purposes.
