We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nutrition Specialist to join our team in Nova Scotia. This is a part-time (0.7) role shared between Roseway Manor in Shelburne (0.5) and Surf Lodge in Lockeport (0.2). As a Nutrition Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing nutritional guidance and support to our residents.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new research by attending dietary workshops, seminars, conferences, and classes to ensure high standards of nutritional care for residents.
  • Review the physical condition, physician orders, and psychological needs of residents to develop effective nutritional plans.
  • Research new developments in the field of long-term care as it relates to diet and dietary requirements.
  • Implement dietary measures with a long-term view of maintaining or improving a patient's quality of life.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's Degree in Foods and Nutrition or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Registration with the Nova Scotia College of Dietitians and Nutritionists.
  • Excellent ability to manage high stress or highly emotional situations.
  • Sound judgement and ability to execute decisions efficiently.
