About this role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Assistant to join our Burnaby Major Projects Team. This role will provide administrative support and work from our site office in Surrey, BC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare project site and office binders/files and QA/QC files as required
  • Organize and track shop drawings, keep on top of suppliers for delivery of shop drawings
  • Price, extend, confirm hours submitted and data entry as required for extra work orders
  • Ensure the site has all the latest specs, drawings, shop drawings, change orders, schedules
  • Track shipments for orders, track backorders, and keep on top of suppliers for delivery of materials
  • Prepare O&M manuals and panel schedules

Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • 2 years of experience in an administrative support role
  • Strong proficiency using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Highly organized and high attention to detail
  • Team player
  • Self-motivated
  • Work experience in the construction and/or electrical industry, an asset
  • Ability to read drawings, an asset

Salary range: $50,000 - $60,000 per year. Actual salary will be commensurate with experience, skills, and overall match to the position offered.
