About this role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Assistant to join our Burnaby Major Projects Team. This role will provide administrative support and work from our site office in Surrey, BC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare project site and office binders/files and QA/QC files as required
  • Organize and track shop drawings, ensure timely delivery from suppliers
  • Process extra work orders, including pricing, extending, and confirming hours submitted
  • Ensure the site has access to the latest specifications, drawings, shop drawings, and change orders
  • Track shipments, manage backorders, and coordinate with suppliers for material delivery
  • Prepare operational and maintenance manuals, as well as panel schedules

Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • 2 years of experience in an administrative support role
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Team player with self-motivation
  • Work experience in the construction and/or electrical industry, an asset
  • Ability to read drawings, an asset
