Plant Engineer

Crown Holdings, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Plant Engineer to join our team in Calgary, Canada. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our beverage can manufacturing plant.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement maintenance plans to minimize downtime and optimize production.
- Manage and coordinate maintenance personnel to ensure effective and efficient plant operation.
- Plan, design, and implement projects to improve safety, cost, and quality.
- Prepare and administer department budgets for maintenance and repair of building and equipment.
- Control capital spending and oversee plant and building maintenance.
- Implement and manage maintenance programs to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
- Facilitate and support EHS programs to ensure a safe working environment.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Registration with APEGA as P. ENG.
- Certification in Six Sigma (Green, Black or Master Black Belt) is desirable.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Experience with project management, time management, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime.
This role will be based in a manufacturing environment with fluctuating temperatures, noisy, moving mechanical parts, and vehicular traffic. Travel will be limited to 0-10%.
