Job Title: Chief Engineer - Steam Plant Operations

West Coast Reduction Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Engineer to oversee the operation of our steam plant systems at our Calgary location.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the maintenance and monitoring of all steam plant systems, equipment, and utilities
  • Manage and schedule steam plant shift operators and ensure daily operating plans are communicated and executed
  • Participate in recruitment, selection, and employee performance management of the steam engineers
  • Maintain liaison between the steam plant, site management, procurement, and maintenance
  • Ensure odor control systems are operating within parameters established by Alberta Environment
  • Perform shift work and work overtime as instructed to ensure minimal downtime of facilities
Requirements:
  • 7 years of progressive experience in a plant operation environment
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, with excellent communication skills
  • Computer literacy, knowledgeable of Microsoft Office suite of applications
  • Possession of a valid Class 2 Power Engineering Certificate
  • Possession of a valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean abstract
