Position Overview

To maintain our leadership in the market, we are seeking a dedicated Plant Process Engineer for our beverage can manufacturing facility. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our production systems. The Plant Process Engineer will work closely with the Plant Manager and maintenance teams to ensure optimal plant performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Developing, planning, and executing projects aimed at enhancing safety, cost-effectiveness, and product quality.
  2. Managing and overseeing the maintenance budget to ensure effective resource allocation for facility upkeep.
  3. Monitoring capital expenditures and ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints.
  4. Implementing and supervising maintenance programs to minimize operational downtime.
  5. Coordinating plant maintenance activities to meet regulatory standards and operational efficiency.
  6. Planning and managing capital investment projects, including equipment acquisitions and facility improvements.
  7. Supporting Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) initiatives within the plant.
  8. Performing additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications:

  1. Strong focus on safety practices.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, with 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  3. Registered Professional Engineer (P. ENG) with APEGA.
  4. Six Sigma certification (Green, Black, or Master Black Belt) is preferred.
  5. Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  6. Proficient in both verbal and written communication.
  7. Experience in project management and demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  8. Proficient in managing capital projects and liaising with vendors and contractors.
  9. Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required.
  10. Familiarity with high-speed packaging machinery is advantageous.
  11. Understanding of CCMS, work orders, and inventory management processes.
  12. Experience in process engineering is a plus.
Work Environment:

The role is situated in a manufacturing environment characterized by variable temperatures, noise, and active machinery. Occasional travel may be required.
