Job Opportunity: Mental Health Support Worker

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Support Worker to join our team in Burnaby. This part-time role offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on individuals with disabilities.

About the Role

The successful candidate will support clients with life skills training and provide services that promote independence, social inclusion, and overall well-being. This role requires effective communication, active listening, and empathy in all interactions.

Responsibilities
  • Support clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal planning, and housekeeping.
  • Assist clients in accessing community leisure programs and promoting social interaction.
  • Develop and implement personalized support plans to enhance client outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and communicate effectively with team members.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Recent experience working with individuals with disabilities or mental health conditions.
  • Certification in Emergency First Aid and CPR level A.
  • Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
