Expert Mental Health Clinician for Complex Patient Care

About this role:
We are seeking a skilled Psychiatrist to work in the Burnaby Mental Health and Substance Use team at the Burnaby Hospital campus of care. This is a full-time position requiring 5 days per week, with mandatory participation in the on-call rota.
This is an exciting opportunity for experienced clinicians to join a multidisciplinary team supporting individuals with significant mental health and substance use issues. Our model of care focuses on mental health management, connection to services, and communication with community care providers.
Key responsibilities include providing consultations to patients, connecting them with relevant services, and facilitating warm handovers for ongoing care. Physicians will receive ongoing mentorship and support from FH Mental Health Physicians.
In addition to clinical expertise, we value effective communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to adapt to changing situations.
The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, be able to work independently, and demonstrate empathy towards patients and their families.
What we offer:
A competitive salary, estimated to be around $**425,000 - $525,000 annually**, depending on experience and qualifications. Compensation includes a combination of Alternative Payment Plan & Fee For Service.
Qualifications/Credentials: CMPA, CPSBC Eligible for Full License, CPSBC Full, CPSBC Provisional, FRCPC. Located at Burnaby Hospital.
