As an Expert Vendor Management Professional at CIBC, you'll be responsible for supporting the Director of Business Effectiveness in managing vendor relationships on a consistent basis. You'll apply advanced concepts to develop a vendor management framework, ensuring effective governance and risk management practices. Your role will involve communicating with business leaders to understand strategic goals and vendor needs, using independent judgement to determine methods and approaches to work.
The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary degree in business, law, or information systems, and demonstrated experience in managing multiple activities of varying complexity. Strong conceptualization, accounting, and business analysis skills are essential, as well as knowledge of banking/finance, technology, or legal practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Contract Management and Governance: Enforce contractual obligations, ensure governance oversight, and manage contract deliverables. Work closely with Corporate Services and Legal for contract amendments, renewals, and negotiations.
- Financial Management: Manage budgets, contract costs, and provide financial reporting. Identify cost savings and efficiency opportunities, streamline processes, and create financial models.
- Issues and Daily Operations Management: Support daily vendor operations, consult on initiative and project changes, and evaluate governance and contractual impacts of issues.
- Business Management: Support other business management activities as required.
You'll thrive in this role if you're detail-oriented, with strong critical thinking skills and a passion for delivering results. As an owner-like professional, you'll take the lead, go above and beyond, and make an impact through your influence. At CIBC, our values – trust, teamwork, and accountability – matter to us, and we live them every day.
What We Offer:- A competitive salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
