Job Title: Mammalian Molecular Biology Lecturer

We are seeking a highly qualified lecturer to teach a course on mammalian molecular biology at the University of Toronto.

Course Overview

The course, PSL350H1S Mammalian Molecular Biology, is a comprehensive introduction to the principles of molecular biology in mammals. Students will learn about the latest scientific literature in mammalian physiology, apply these principles to disease and complex behaviors, and discuss bioethical issues raised by these techniques and their application.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and present lectures on metabolomics
  • Run corresponding practicum sessions
  • Prepare unique exam questions for midterm test and make-up test questions, if required
  • Facilitate a small group topic activity, including a lecture, marking student lay summaries/critiques, and assessing student presentations
Requirements

PhD in physiology or related discipline and prior experience in molecular physiology and pathophysiology research. Prior experience in molecular physiology and pathophysiology teaching, as well as in facilitating active learning, is preferred.
