Mammalian Molecular Biology Lecturer

Course Information:
PSL350H1S Mammalian Molecular Biology is a course that extends molecular biology concepts to current scientific literature in mammalian physiology. The course applies these principles to disease and complex behaviors, discussing bioethical issues raised by these techniques and their application.
Course Objectives:
- Extend molecular biology concepts to current scientific literature in mammalian physiology
- Apply these principles to disease and complex behaviors
- Discuss bioethical issues raised by these techniques and their application
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and presenting lectures on stem cells and tissue regeneration, as well as facilitating small group topic activities. The candidate will also prepare unique exam questions and respond to student queries related to the lecture.
Requirements:
- PhD in physiology or related discipline
- Prior experience in molecular physiology and pathophysiology research
- Prior experience in molecular physiology and pathophysiology teaching, as well as in facilitating active learning
Working Conditions:
The job is posted in accordance with the CUPE 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement. Preference in hiring is given to qualified individuals advanced to the rank of Sessional Lecturer II or Sessional Lecturer III in accordance with Article 14:12 of the CUPE 3902 Unit 3 collective agreement.
