Job Summary

This role will provide administrative support to the district management team at Legal Aid Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a high volume of work, scheduling meetings, and coordinating outreach work with clinics and community agencies. They will also assist with the implementation of new district initiatives and projects, and provide general information to lawyers, clients, and other legal system partners.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist district management team with administrative tasks
- Manage virtual triage DC program
- Schedule meetings in criminal and family courts
- Compile information for statistical purposes and analysis
- Coordinate outreach work with clinics and community agencies
- Liaise with internal and external legal service providers

Requirements

- Experience with direct client service
- Experience with criminal, family, and refugee/immigration law
- Knowledge of LAO priorities, policies, and procedures
- Experience with drafting letters, business notes, and memos
- Project management experience
- Relevant administrative skills
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Share Point
