About the Job
We are seeking a talented Satellite Communications Systems Professional with at least ten years of experience working with satellite communications systems. As a Senior Satellite Communications Ground Station Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, integrating, and operating ground station communication systems. Your expertise should include RF, antenna, baseband handling, digital processing, control and monitor processing, and network communication.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science from a recognized Canadian University, or a non-Canadian Engineering or Science degree accredited by CICIC, WES, or University of Toronto Comparative Education Services;
- Diploma or certificate in Information Management/Information Technology (IM/IT) from a recognized college, with a minimum of two years of experience;
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer by any self-regulatory bodies within the provinces of Canada;
- A minimum of ten years of experience in satellite communications specialist roles;
- A minimum of five years of experience in writing project technical documentation for IM/IT projects valued at $5M or more;
- A minimum of five years of experience in ground station communication design, integration, and operation, validation and testing, and providing technical expertise;
