Satellite Communication Systems Architect

Job Overview
">This role involves designing and developing modem architectures for satellite user terminals, ensuring they meet performance, cost, and reliability targets. We are looking for an experienced systems engineer who can oversee the full life-cycle of hardware and modem designs from inception to production and fielding.
">Main Responsibilities
">- Design and develop modem architectures that meet or exceed system requirements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of the modem with other terminal components.
- Develop and implement advanced signal processing algorithms for modem functionality.
- Conduct performance analysis and test review of modem designs.
- Lead the development and testing of prototypes to validate modem designs.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and internal teams to ensure cohesive system design and functionality.
- Produce detailed design documentation, including technical specifications and design guidelines.
Education and Experience Required
">- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of digital communication systems, including modulation techniques and error correction methods.
- Experience with bringing hardware and modem designs through the full life-cycle.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Working Conditions
">- No direct reports but will work and interact with multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
- International travel is required.
- The successful candidate must be able to work in Canada and obtain clearance under the Canadian Controlled Goods program.
Compensation Package
">We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for career growth.
