Group Leader Position

Dartmouth, Canada South Woodside Elementary Full time

Job Summary:

The Group Leader will work in the before and after school program at South Woodside Elementary, Monday through Friday. The position requires a minimum of one year's experience in the child care field and knowledge of recreational programming.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of child care professionals
  • Develop and implement recreational programs for children
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for children
  • Communicate effectively with parents and staff
  • Meet the needs of children with diverse abilities and needs

Requirements:

  • High School Completion Certificate or equivalent
  • Valid First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Benefits:

  • Rate of pay is $18.28 per hour plus vacation pay
  • Children of EXCEL employees can attend the EXCEL program at no charge
