Group Leader Position

South Woodside Elementary seeks a dedicated Group Leader to join our before and after school program. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year's experience in the child care field and possess strong communication skills. The Group Leader will work in a team environment, Monday-Friday, approximately 26.4 hours per week. Key responsibilities include planning and implementing recreational programming, maintaining a safe and engaging environment, and collaborating with colleagues to achieve program goals. A High School Completion Certificate or equivalent is required. Possession of a valid First Aid/CPR Certification is considered an asset. The Group Leader will also have opportunities for paid training and professional development. The rate of pay is $18.28 per hour plus vacation pay. Children of EXCEL employees can attend the EXCEL program at no charge. Various paid training opportunities are available, including High Five, First Aid/CPR, and Non Violent Crisis Intervention. The potential for additional hours exists.
