Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Group Leader to join our team at Park West School. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of child care professionals and providing a safe and engaging environment for children in our after-school program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of child care professionals to provide high-quality care and programming for children.
  • Develop and implement recreational programming that promotes physical activity, socialization, and learning.
  • Ensure the health and safety of children in our care, including administering first aid and CPR as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and other stakeholders to ensure a positive and supportive environment.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve program goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year's experience in the child care field.
  • Knowledge of recreational programming and ability to develop engaging activities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and lead others.
  • High School Completion Certificate or equivalent.

Assets:

  • Possession of a valid First Aid/CPR Certification is considered an asset.
  • Rate of pay is $18.28 per hour plus vacation pay.
  • The Group Leader will work in the after-school program with the shift time of 1:55-6:00pm. Approximately 21.50 hours/week.
