Job Title: Flooring Installation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Flooring Installation Specialist to join our team at Capital Floor Supply Inc. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing various types of flooring, including hardwood, resilient, and vinyl.

Job Summary:

The Flooring Installation Specialist will be responsible for installing flooring materials in commercial and residential settings. This includes measuring, cutting, and installing flooring materials, as well as inspecting and repairing damaged flooring.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Measure and mark surfaces to be covered
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding
  • Measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings
  • Prepare and install hardwood floors
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
  • Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations
  • Prepare floors for installations
  • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
  • Install materials on counter tops and raised platforms
  • Install vinyl decking materials
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Will train
  • Or equivalent experience
  • Ability to distinguish between colors
  • Hand-eye coordination
  • Physically demanding
  • Handling heavy loads
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling
Work Environment:

The Flooring Installation Specialist will work in a variety of settings, including commercial, residential, and on-site customer service. The work environment may be dusty and odorous at times.
