The Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer who possesses good knowledge of coding best practices and can build and maintain complex microservices' architecture. The ideal candidate should be able to collaborate with a team and influence it to create a quality product.

In this fast-paced startup environment, it is essential for the Data Engineer to work well under pressure, manage their time effectively, and meet deadlines. We are looking for someone who is comfortable with change, organized, and committed to the success of the company.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze, design, and implement features to drive business growth and innovation.
  • Write well-designed and efficient code, conduct unit testing and integration testing, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Correct anomalies and problems as they arise, collaborating with the team to identify and resolve issues.
  • Test implemented features to ensure all acceptance criteria are met, providing valuable feedback to the development team.
  • Participate in projects from the initial idea to launch, contributing to the continuous improvement of development activities.
  • Advise the product owner on technological choices and decisions concerning developments, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with the security team to integrate security best practices into software development processes.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in data warehousing and ETL Development.
  • 3+ years of experience in either Apache Spark or Databricks.
  • 2+ years of experience building, deploying, and optimizing data-ingestion solutions.
  • Experience working directly with external and internal stakeholders, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or engineering (or equivalent professional experience).
