Job Description

The Director, Cyber Resilience plays a crucial role in ensuring the security and resilience of EQ Bank | Equitable Bank's digital infrastructure. This position oversees the bank's cyber risk management, supply chain risk management, enterprise cyber security controls, and resilience testing capabilities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversight and maturation of the bank's cyber resilience testing program, including red team exercises and cyber threat simulations.
  • Development and implementation of an approach to measure the effectiveness of EQ Bank's enterprise cyber security controls.
  • Management of the process for measuring, tracking, and reporting cyber capabilities maturity levels.
  • Supporting the bank's cyber roadmap and planning processes by analyzing controls, maturity, and risk information to identify high priorities for the cyber security program.
  • Development and management of the bank's cyber security policy exception and risk acceptance processes.
  • Oversight of the bank's activities to manage third-party cyber risk exposure, working closely with the second line of defense in alignment with the bank's third-party risk management framework.
  • Development of data-driven risk reporting to technology and business stakeholders, ensuring transparency and risk-informed decision-making while also developing means of measuring and reporting on risk appetite breaches.
  • Oversight of the development and management of the bank's cyber risk register, ensuring alignment with enterprise risk management and operational risk management practices.
  • Development and maintenance of IT asset controls and applicability tools and documentation.
  • Management of the methodology and tools to operationalize the bank's cyber measurement practice, providing accurate and timely reports on key risk indicators (KRIs) and objectives and key results (OKRs).
Requirements:
  • A college diploma or university degree in computer science or a related field, or industry-recognized certifications such as CISSP, with at least 7 years of cyber security experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of technical IT experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years of cyber security experience.
  • Strong knowledge of cyber security frameworks, controls, and practices.
  • Strong engineering or security architecture knowledge, preferably with prior hands-on technology engineering experience.
  • Good understanding of human risk factors and techniques for managing this risk, including security awareness programs.
  • Cyber risk quantification and analysis skills, specifically with FIAR methodology preferred.
  • Good knowledge of cyber threats, risks, and control design best practices.
  • People and resource management skills.
  • Strategic and financial planning skills.
  • Good knowledge of insider risk management tools and techniques.
  • Process and capability management skills.
  • Technology roadmaps.
  • Ownership and accountability.
Salary

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
